How It Works

Over the course of your treatment I spend time getting to know you.  This helps me to understand the context of your symptoms.  Diet, medical history, lifestyle, and emotional factors can influence your digestive system so it’s crucial that all of these aspects are taken into consideration.

This approach is highly supportive and as such, treatment involves regular check-in and feedback sessions.  This allows us to monitor progress, navigate the treatment, and ensure recommendations remain relevant.

The Consultation Process

There are 3 steps to the intake and consultation process.

  1. Pre-Consultation
    A free 15-minute phone or video pre-consultation serves as an initial symptom assessment.
  2. Initial Consultation
    An in-depth 90-minute intake consultation.  A full case history is taken and the first part of the treatment decided.
  3. Follow-up Consultations
    Regular follow-up consultations to assess progress and response to treatment.

My nutritional support programme includes:

  • A full in-depth health assessment to investigate the root of your symptoms. This includes dietary assessment, medical and family history, sleep, stress and more. 90-minute duration.
  • Follow-up consultations where we assess progress, monitor any changes in symptoms, discuss test results and make appropriate changes to the treatment plan. 45-minute duration.
  • Investigation of potential food triggers and working to understand which foods to eat and, if indicated, which to avoid – and why!
  • Personalised nutrition and lifestyle program based on your symptoms and underlying issue.
  • Practical, adaptable recipes and resources.
  • Support in person, via email, text or messenger according to your needs.
  • Health coaching to help you fully understand your health needs, navigate the program and to identify and overcome potential challenges.
  • I may also recommend some additional supplements and/or diagnostic testing to investigate potential imbalances.

I view the relationship I have with my patients as a partnership. Since the process is dynamic and gut issues may respond quickly to the changes, I find regular contact and feedback sessions are best.

This allows us to keep all the recommendations relevant and our approach up to date.

It also prevents you from remaining on a specific stage of treatment for a prolonged period of time when you’re ready for the next step in the process.
